Bonehead Of The Day:

A mailman in Oregon sent three of his co-workers to the hospital after his  bear spray accidentally went off in the post office.

Bear spray is a heavy-duty version of pepper spray the man used to fend off attacking dogs.

One eployee called 911 to report a chemical contamination. The fire department showed up wearing masks and using sensors to determine if there were any chemical hazards.

How the spray got set off is still being determined.

A Farmer Is Adding Beer To His Turkey's Diets.. For A Better Flavor

A farmer in New Hampshire is raising about 50 Thanksgiving turkeys--  and has been giving his birds beer.

In fact, he's been doing it since 1993, when he and his workers popped open a few cans after work. A turkey knocked one over and started drinking and they've been doing it ever since.

The farmer prefers serving the turkeys lager and claims the beer makes birds fatter, more flavorful and juicier.

Animal rights group PETA said turkeys shouldn't be fed beer and that "farmers across the country use questionable practices to keep costs down or to alter the taste of animal flesh because their priority is profit, not the animals' welfare."

But the national director of Humane Heartland, which oversees the treatment of farm animals, said that standards from the American Humane Association don't prohibit serving beer to animals.

** This farmer's turkeys are not the first animals to consume alcohol. Japanese farmers have been said to feed cattle beer to stimulate their appetites. And a winemaker and farmer in the south of France have experimented with feeding cows the remainders of pressed grapes to produce meat they've called "Vinbovin."

Mo Money Mo Problems.. Man Wins Powerball.. Ex Girlfriend Wants Half!

A New Jersey man who won a $338 million Powerball jackpot is in a court fight with his former girlfriend over the money.

The man was the sole winner of the Powerball drawing last spring, which was worth about $152 million after taxes. His lawyer claims his ex has no claim to the money because the couple were never married.

But attorneys for the woman claim the man bought the ticket based on the couple's shared earnings. They lived together for 10 years, have a child together and shared ownership of a grocery store.

A judge refused to dismiss the lawsuit and denied a request from the woman to freeze the man's lottery winnings. The judge said that the couple's relationship was long-term and the woman contributed to the household, but the court didn't have any reason to freeze the funds.

The woman's attorney says that a large chunk of the lottery winnings is already gone after $57 million was sent to the man's native Dominican Republic, $5 million was given away, $300,000 was spent on a home and $20 million can't be found.

The woman recently moved out of the home the man bought and filed a domestic violence claim against him.

For What It's Worth..  Denmark Is Still The Happiest Nation

People in Denmark are the most indebted people in the world, live through long, dark winters and have a shorter life expectancy than other Mediterranean countries. But for the past four decades, the Danes have rated themselves as the happiest people on earth.

Theories as to why the population is so happy range from its egalitarian policies to its history to idea that some people are just easier to satisfy than others.

Denmark first topped the happiness table in 1973, when a European Union survey found that people there were more satisfied with life than in any other member state.

This year, it held on to the top spot in the United Nations' annual World Happiness Report even as it suffered through the worst economic crisis of its post-World War II history. In the study, people were asked to evaluate the current state of their lives using a scale of zero to 10, where a top rating signified the best possible life for them, and zero the worst.

Denmark scored an average of 7.7. One of the most important things making the Danes happy is the security in Danish society. There is a high degree of financial security. If they lose their jobs, they get support, when they get sick they can go to the hospital. Denmark also has the highest taxes in the world as a percentage of the overall economy, but many Danes value the social security they get in return, including subsidized childcare and unemployment insurance that guarantees 80-percent wages for two years if they lose their jobs.

Bill Cosby Wants To Be Back On Prime Time

Bill Cosby is re-teaming with one of "The Cosby Show" producers to develop a new family comedy.

Cosby says that he wants to develop a show that "would [satisfy] the people who have come to me in public places and said, 'Can't you put something on that I can watch?'"

Cosby says the new series wouldn't be a remake of The Cosby Show, but instead would feature older children and their relationships with their parents.

Cosby is also working on a reboot of his animated series, "Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids," and says that he just wants a shot because the networks "haven't seen anything like it."
